What is Student Stress?

Stress is both a necessary and an unnecessary part of every student’s life. After all, school life is all about papers, assignments, quizzes, and major examinations. The never-ending information overload would overwhelm just about anyone.

Stress is normal and it can help a student keep track of his tasks at school but it only becomes a deterrent to good life when it gets in the way of living a healthy lifestyle.
Sources of Student Stress

There can be a variety of causes for stress among students. There are inside and outside factors that could easily cause stress. Stress from school workload and the student’s inability to manage all this work in his allotted time could all lead to stressful student life. Even financial difficulties and family problems could get in the way of positive thinking.

  • A cup of coffee or any caffeine-filled drinks to help pep a student up

  • Hostility (in severe cases)

  • Loss of concentration
  • and Negative self-talk
Looking at all these symptoms, sometimes one would be led to think that universities are supposed to give degrees and make careers advance yet some look at it as a stressful phase in one’s life. There are many ways to avoid student stress and if you feel stressed you should try to reduce your stress.
