Stress Tips

Who doesn't go through some kind of stress now and then? Even the most positive person has a bad day. If you've been going through a stressful situation here are a couple of stress tips that you can use to help relieve your stress.

Exercise
Do some type of exercise at least 2-3 times a week for about 30 minutes. You can try a number of activities like walking, dancing or swimming just to name a few. Exercise is a natural stress reliever because your body releases endorphins when you exercise. Endorphins are body’s natural relaxer and are important factor in your stress relief.

Take up a Hobby
What's great about having a hobby is that you can do it alone or with a friend. It's a time to focus on something else but at the same time calmly reflect on what is bothering you. Writing is an even better hobby because you can express your feeling through your writing. This is one of the most important stress tips that can help you manage your stress easily.

Accept and Let Go
When we lose something or someone, whether in death, breaking up, moving away, losing your job, any type of loss, it is important to realize and accept what has happened, grasp and live reality not the past or what might have been because that is not real.

Good Humor
Sometimes a bad situation is not all that bad. Whether you made a mistake or felt embarrassed, turning the situation into something funny actually makes you feel a lot better. Things won't always go as planned and this can affect our mood and makes us stressed. It's best to loose your stress and think of something funny.

Smile
Just try it, smile, right now :) It's another natural stress reliever and has a similar effect on your body as previously mentioned humor.

Count to 10
It's a classic, but it works. In moments of stress or anger we can say, do or feel many things. Count to 10 or more, cool down and then confront the situation again.

Don't Switch to Decaf
At least not drastically. Switching to decaf from one day to the next can actually cause your more headaches. Take it cup by cup, mix a bit of decaf to your regular coffee and slowly keep on increasing the decaf until you get used to it. If you love the coffee you should remember this stress tip carefully and maybe it will help.

Feel Comfy in the Dark Warmth
My favorite stress tip and an interesting one too. Rub your hands together until they are warm, now cup them over your closed eyes for five seconds or more and breathe deeply and calmly for at least 5 seconds. You’ll feel very relaxed and because warmth and darkness are comforting.

These are just a couple of stress tips that have worked for me and my friends. However always keep in mind that if your stress symptoms continue and you haven't been able to find a stress reliever that works for you consult your doctor for professional advice.
